Cockpit TailBag provides covert water-resistant storage below the rear underside of the Cockpit right where your copilot’s tail hangs over.
The rugged exterior is constructed of semi-rigid outdoor vinyl with a wide-mouth zipper for easy rear access to the contents.
The durable compact unit provides storage capacity of approximately 1.75L for the Mini and 2L for Intermediate, Standard, and Jumbo.
At just 1½in | 4cm tall the TailBag extends approximately 1in | 2cm below the Cockpit’s rear padded roll bar for a low-profile, inconspicuous placement. Check your taillight location to ensure that line-of-sight visibility is not obstructed.

Cockpit TailBag is a rugged water-resistant gear bag that secures inconspicuously below the Cockpit where your copilot’s tail hangs down.
The compact storage unit covertly provides approximately 2L of additional storage where it won’t take up space in your motorcycle luggage.
Placement at the motorcycle’s rear makes for easy access for items commonly used at rests stops or when gassing up.

Water-Resistance
The exterior is constructed of sturdy waterproof outdoor vinyl and is craftsman built to take enormous abuse.
In practice, the shell will not be fully waterproof due to the complex shape and presence of robust reinforced stitching.
Likewise, the active location near the rear wheel subjects your TailBag to considerable mud, dust, rain, and road debris while riding so do not use it to store valuable or delicate items.
Profile
A semi-rigid plastic plate placed between the outer and inner vinyl layers helps maintains the flat low-profile shape and prevents bowing or sagging over long miles of hard use.
The TailBag will extend approximately 1in | 25mm below the lower padded roll bar so check to ensure clear line-of-sight visibility of your taillight.
Installation
A U-shaped aluminum bracket is included with your TailBag for an simple secure mounting to your Cockpit.
To install:
- Place the U-shaped at the rear underside of your Cockpit with the open ends facing rear and the four bolt holes correctly aligned.
- Loosely affix the bracket with just a couple turns of the two bolts at the forward half of the mounting bracket.
- Slide the unit into position by passing the open ends of the U-shaped bracket through the corresponding channels along the top of the TailBag.
- Connect the rear pair of bolts to affix the open ends of the U-shaped bracket to the underside of the Cockpit baseplate.
- Tighten the four mounting bolts until the TailBag channels are firmly and securely clamped between the bracket and baseplate.

How do I install the TailBag to my Cockpit?
Your TailBag includes an U-shaped aluminum mounting bracket that bolts to predrilled holes in the Cockpit baseplate. To install your TailBag, loosely affix the closed end of the U-shaped bracket to the forward pair of bolt holes in the baseplate. Slide the TailBag into position by passing the open ends of the U-shaped bracket through the corresponding channels along the top of the TailBag. Affix the bracket’s open ends to the baseplate with the provided bolts and tighten all four installation bolts until the TailBag is securely clamped between the baseplate and mounting bracket.
Is the TailBag waterproof?
The TailBag is water-resistant but it is not submergible and moisture may enter in heavy rain or during a water-crossing. The TailBag location receives substantial abuse from mud , dust, rain, and road debris while riding so do not store valuable or delicate items in your TailBag.
Will the TailBag obstruct my tail light or brake lights?
The best way to determine if your TailBag will obstruct your lights is to place a flat board in the position that immitates the Cockpit level. Use a measuring tape to determine the location where the TailBag will hang. You might also want to use a similarly shaped household item to create a simple mock-up to visualize where the TailBag will hang.
The TailBag height is approximately 2 inches | 5cm, which means it extends approximately 1inch / 25mm below your Cockpit’s rear padded roll bar. If you’re still unsure if your TailBag will obstruct your lights, contact us for guidance.
