GEN2 K9 Moto Cockpit features an aluminum baseplate that bolts to the Cockpit’s steel frame.
The original baseplate is be modified to include bolt holes and/or cutaways as necessary for the purpose of installing your Cockpit to your motorcycle or other vehicle.
For some vehicles, proper installation requires additional mounting hardware such as brackets, platforms, and/or spacers.
The baseplate is:
- Replaceable
- Interchangeable
- Retrofittable
- Upgradeable
Select the GEN2 Cockpit Mounting Replacement when you add a new motorcycle, ebike, bicycle, moped, snowmobile, or other vehicle to your stable and we design and custom build the necessary mounting hardware.
The Cockpit Mounting Replacement includes:
- Aluminum baseplate modified if/as required by the mounting design
- Custom-built hardware if/as required by the mounting design
- Complete set of eight (8) M6 Allen bolts to secure the baseplate to your Cockpit frame
We perform an abbreviated version of the same online,ย do-it-together design process as we use to create the specs for your original custom Cockpit mounting.
You can also have choose to have your existing or original Cockpit mounting features (which we have on record) overlaid on the new baseplate. This overlay enables your new baseplate to accept your original mounting hardware as well.*
For custom mounting to more than one vehicle, add one Cockpit Mounting Replacement to cart for each vehicle.

Whatโs included in the Mounting Replacement?
Your Mounting Replacement includes the configuration of your Cockpit baseplate and/or all mounting hardware necessary for installation to your motorcycle. The specific baseplate configuration and brackets you will receive depend on the mounting design that we create through our do-it-together design process. The Mounting Replacement design process is essentially the same as what we perform for each new Cockpit model that includes Custom Mounting.
We provide all the bolts necessary for connecting the baseplate and/or mounting brackets to non-threaded bolts holes and rails on the motorcycle. We do not provide bolts for threaded bolt holes on the motorcycle and we do not we provide replacements for existing bolts on the motorcycle. In most cases, we recommend replacing existing bolts with ones that are 5mm longer to accommodate the most common types of Cockpit hardware. Check with us before purchasing replacement bolts if you are unsure.
Does the Mounting Replacement come ready to install to my motorcycle?
Yes. In most cases, the only hardware that is not included but is necessary for installation are longer bolts to replace existing bolts or for threaded bolt holes on your motorcycle.
Do you have off-the-shelf mounting hardware for my motorcycle?
No. We do not currently manufacture prefabricated mounting hardware for specific models or model year ranges.
Although the Cockpit community of riders is large and growing fast, the production volume is relatively low even for the most popular makes and model years.
Also, many of the Cockpits many of the riders with the most popular motorcycle models have various aftermarket accessories and customizations to accommodate like Touratech pannier racks, Givi luggage racks, and Corbin seats.
So, as of now, all Cockpit mountings are custom because we value creating a top-quality craftsman built and personalized solution for reach rider and their copilot.
How do you determine what mounting hardware I need for my motorcycle?
When you purchase the Mounting Replacement we perform a brief online do-it-together design process to create the build specification for your mounting hardware. This is essentially the same process that we perform for each new Cockpit model with Custom Mounting.
After completing your Mounting Replacement purchase, we send you an email with a link to your mounting design page. The design page includes simple instructions and examples to guide us through the process together โ and we are in contact all the way through.
Does is matter if my motorcycle is in the stock setup or has modifications and accessories?
No. We love the craftsmanship and design that goes into creating custom mounting that accommodates the bike, your preferences, and your aftermarket accessories as much as possible.
The first of the three-step design process involves uploading โmugshotโ photos of your motorcycle with and without the accessories. We use this process to determine the mounting options and engage you for your feedback and preferences.
