How We Design and Build Your Cockpit
Design Phase
The design phase is where we:
ย Customize the appearance of your Cockpit frame
ย Determine the mounting for your motorcycle(s)
Designing your custom mounting usually takes about 60 minutes or so of your time and most riders complete the process in about 1 week depending on their availability.
Build phase
ย The build clock starts once all of the steps listed above are completed.
The build time for your Cockpit was published on our website when you completed your purchase. This is approximately:
ย ยท 3 weeks for Custom Upholstery
ย ยท 4 weeks for Custom Upholstery + Mounting
During the build, we post workshop photosย ย here on your design page and emailย you to notify you of the progress.
Important Notes About Your Cockpit Build
- We make no guarantee about the delivery date.
- Do not make travel plans based on when you expect to receive your Cockpit.
- The build clock starts once you approve your mounting design(s) with no revisions.
- Please addย info@goruffly.comย to your contacts so our notifications don’t go to junk.
Determine the Mounting
We determine the mounting for your motorcycle(s) by working together through three simple steps.
โ PHOTOS โ Upload photos of your motorcycle(s) according to the examples provided.
โ MEASURE โ Watch our personalized instructions video and perform the measurements as described.
โย REMEASURE โ Watch our personalized review video and double-check your measurements.
โ That’s it!
We perform these steps to determine the mounting on a separate page. Below is a listing of all the mountings you selected when you placed your order. Click on the GO NOW button(s) to begin each one.
The Build Phase begins when all mountings below indicate COMPLETE.

Perform the Tape Outline Exercise with Your Dog
A good fit in the Cockpit is essential to safety and comfort, and the Tape Outline Exercise is the best way to visualize how your dog will fit in the Cockpit size you selected.
If your dog is still growing, try to do this exercise with the parent of the same sex.
Here’s how to do the Tape Outline Exercise:
STEP 1ย Create an outline of the Cockpit’s internal dimensions on the floor up against two walls.
Internal Cockpit dimensions:
Nano โ 47cm x 22cm | 18ยฝin x 8ยพin
Mini โ 65cm ร 30cm | 25ยฝin x 12in
Intermediate โ 71cm ร 32cm | 28in x 13in
Standard โ 77cm ร 35cm | 30in x 14in
Jumbo โ 87cm ร 40cm | 34in x 16in
STEP 2ย Place your dog inside the tape outline with the butt and backside against the walls.
1) The back should be comfortably curled, not straight.
2) The front paws should reach to the front tape at the wristsย like in the instructions diagram.
STEP 3ย Snap a photo or two just like the example image and upload it using the form provided.

Review the vinyl and stitching catalogue below and then make your selection in the form provided.
We will ask you for:
- Your choice of vinyl and stitching.
- With or without reflective tape around the exterior.
- If you want personalized branding embroidered on the sides.

Styles
The embroidered branding is approximately 2cm | ยพinch in vertical height. The FUN style looks smaller than the other two because of how the letters are vertically offset.

Your personal branding is embroidered exactly the same on both sides. If you want the branding on one side to be slightly or completely different from the other, we'll be happy to do so. Please contact us with what you want the two sides to say and there is a $50 fee for the additional design work.
