Despite what you might hear said, we think not everything about the old ways was bad.
Just the opposite, in fact. A lot was done good and honest, and even feels missing from our own contentious modern day.
It seems like maybe the world turned a little slower back then. Work involved fewer screens and keyboards. It made your hands dirty but your heart feel clean. People knew how to be neighbors and good changes were made at a speed you could keep pace with.
It felt like we talked to a person, not an audience. Trolling was something you did patiently with a fishing line, not greasy thumbs tapping at a screen. We knew how to listen once.
And we knew how to build the important things better.
Robot megafactories and nano-polymers are how to make computer chips and driverless vehicles, cheap socks, and refrigerator magnets.
The things that really matter, like a saddle, a timepiece, and my dog’s leash, should be craftsman made from sturdy materials.
The modern world is good for making microwaves fast and cheap and disposable, and we’re all better for it.
For making everyday tools and dependable dog gear – and for knowing how to listen and treat a neighbor – we think the old ways are still best.
That’s why RUFFLY is craftsman built in our saddlery workshop.
