SEASON 3
A GoRUFFLY PILGRIMAGE
We go on motorcycle pilgrimage to grieve the loss of our beloved German Shepherd, Moxie. It’s a heart-healing journey from Seattle to San Diego to visit people who do extraordinary activities with their dogs – and at the end we introduce the new K9 copilot who will continue the around-the-world journey with us!
Meet The Unstoppable Dogs and discover the extraordinary activities that people do with their dogs and the special bonds they share.
After spreading our beloved German shepherd Moxie’s ashes near her birthplace at Lake Atitlan, Jess rides off alone on her motorcycle.
Meanwhile, Greg struggles to recover from a severe injury in which a chicken bus struck him on the Pan-American Highway in Guatemala.
We meet in Los Angeles and then fly to Seattle where two new Triumph-sponsored Tiger 900 Rally Pro motorcycles await us at Brothers Powersports.
As we break in these two new motorbikes, our heart-healing pilgrimage begins with a visit to the Western Washington Summer Dog Show to learn about show poodles from Angel Fernandez-Baker of Serenity Poodles.
Next, we travel to Edmonds, WA, where Suzanne Elshult demonstrates how she works with her dog, Keb, to uncover lost Native American burial grounds.
Our next visit takes us to the King County Fair to meet The Supercollies who perform incredible agility stunts and dances together.
Then it’s on to meet with heroic volunteers from the Douglas County K9 Search & Rescue team.
Then Greg has to ride south quickly because our new copilot-in-waiting puppy Whimsy has taken ill. Meanwhile, Jess joins the Pacific Northwest Newfoundland Club for a day of water rescue training.
Now traveling through Southern California, we journey to Marina Del Rey to talk with mental health specialist Sherrie Rohde about setting boundaries with your dog.
Then it’s on to Santa Monica for a heartwarming session of Puppy Yoga in the park with Laughing Frog Yoga studio.
Reaching San Diego, we try stand up paddle boarding with Samantha Eastburn of SUP Pups.
Next, we ride to Visalia, CA where we learn about service dog training from Brygette Branco and Jareth Bizieff of California Service Dog Academy.
Riding out to Huntington Beach, we meet with Debbie Pearl and her Unstoppable Dogs who show us what it means to be “super-able”.
In our final visit of A GoRUFFLY Pilgrimage, we discover an oasis in the desert where April Vaillancourt teaches dock diving at High Desert Dog Sports.
But before the pilgrimage ends, we introduce our new copilot Whimsy!
