Cockpit PawGuards forms a durable safety net around your copilot to enhance protection and keep their hind paws inside their Cockpit at all times.
Protection
Some active copilots manage to kick their hind paws out from between the Cockpit roll bars when they adjust their riding position.
The PawGuards insert fastens to the upper and lower roll bars to prevent limbs from escaping.
The durable, semirigid barrier around the frame also erects an additional layer of protection against outside hazards to enhance copilot safety.
Construction
The safety net lattice is constructed of double-layered ⅝inch nylon webbing that are overlapped and double-stitched together for reinforcement.
This durable grid pattern is highly resistant against kicking and scratching from active hind paws. Meanwhile normal airflow remains nearly unrestricted for cooling ventilation.
Installation
The PawGuards insert secures to the upper and lower roll bars by side-release buckles that are inward facing for a more subtle, streamlined appearance seen from the outside.
Webbing straps pass beneath the Cockpit cushion to provide additional anchor points that prevent hind paws from kicking out.
Fit
When fastened tightly to the roll bars, the reinforced webbing structure permits limited stretch to bulge and cradle around the hind quarters.
The rear tail hole is a window opening the size of four webbing squares to allow the copilot’s tail to hang free while riding.
The included velcro patch covers the tail hole for those preferring all extremities remain inside the Cockpit.
Alternatively, cut away additional webbing squares as needed for dogs with large-girth tails.
Cockpit PawGuards are craftsman built in traditional saddlery workshops for hard everyday use and unrelenting copilot abuse while riding.
