It’s the start of a 4-week motorcycle camping trip through Guatemala and Mexico with the German Shepherd Moxie and the RUFFLY gang
The RUFFLY gang – Greg, Jess, and German Shepherd Moxie – sets off from our Guatemala base in Panajachel at Lake Atitlan. It is the start of a four-week motorcycle trip through Mexico.
Moxie has a ‘flaccid tail’ – yes, that’s a real condition – but it doesn’t stop her from leaping into her K9 Moto Cockpit and riding hard and ruff!
The first night we reach a Quetzal sanctuary in the San Marcos Department and the next day we search the forest for the colorful Quetzal bird.
Then we cross the border into Mexico at El Carmen. After a thorough review of Moxie’s paperwork, they let us through and we’re back on our way.
We ride along the coastal highway and brave the blasting winds at La Ventosa. Jess has a mini freak out but we make it through and arrive safely at Playa Azul near Salinas Cruz.
